  • the width of the track 20 or its upper side 22 is preferably greater than approximately or only slightly wider than the width of the vehicle 1 or its cabin 2 or the width of the chassis or bogie of the vehicle with normal allowances for the wheels 15 within the side walls 21 of the track 20 and the thickness of the track walls 21. From the point of view of the cost of the track 20, its width cannot be made unnecessarily or excessively wide.
  • At least one front window 6 or one rear window 7 is arranged to be openable or easily openable from the interior 10 of the cabin 2 and is designed with such a size or surface that a satisfactory evacuation can take place through the window.
  • both a front window 6 and a rear window 7 are arranged to be openable from the interior 10 of the cabin 2, Alternatively, a part of the front window 6 or the rear window 7 can be arranged to be openable.
  • a front window 6 is hung horizontally or essentially horizontally and is arranged to be foldable upwards and outwards around a joint in the upper edge 28 of the front window 6 or in pivots 18, hinges or similar in the upper edge 28 of the front window 6,
  • Hanging the window or pane in such a way is advantageous in emergency situations, as on the one hand, the whole window or pane can be moved away leaving a free opening, which is thus delimited by the chassis or body of the cabin 2 around the window or pane, and on the other hand, the opening procedure is a behaviour pattern or handling process known and accustomed to most people through so-called horizontally hung windows, which are increasingly common nowadays, and opening of boots or bonnets of cars or other road vehicles, i.e. the window or pane can be opened according to known and accustomed procedures
  • the rear pane 7 or window can be arranged in an identical or similar way, i.e. horizontally hung from the upper edge of the window or pane for opening upwards
  • the front window 6 or a part of it is hung vertically or essentially vertically or is arranged to be divisible, i.e. into two window halves or the like with or without window posts, whereby at least one of the parts or window halves is arranged to be openable outwards.

  • the rear window 7 or a part of it is hung vertically or essentially vertically or is arranged to be divisible, i.e into two window halves or the like with or without window posts, whereby at least one of the parts or window halves is arranged to be openable outwards.
  • the front window 6 is arranged to be horizontally hung or essentially horizontally hung from the upper edge 28 of the window to allow opening by means of folding outwards and upwards and the rear window 7 and thereby in the form of a rear window 7 divided into two halves is arranged to be hung vertically or essentially vertically and thereby along one of the side edges of the window(s) or the side edge that is located nearest the sides 5 of the vehicle 1 to allow opening outwards and according to the given embodiment tumable towards the right or left side.
  • the interior 10 of the vehicle 1 or cabin 2 can be adapted or designed to facilitate evacuation, such as evacuation through the front window 6 of the vehicle 1, whereby the front panel 11, instrument panel or equivalent presenting the cabin 2 can be designed with an indentation 13 recess, interruption or the like directed towards the front window, so that the distance between the cabin's 2 fittings 11 and the front window 6 or its opening is reduced or so that it is possible while standing on the floor in the cabin to climb directly out through the window or its opening without needing to crawl or the like over the fittings 11 in the cabin 2,
  • the windows or panes 6, 7, through which evacuation is to take place should be so arranged as to be able to remain, on their own or by means of mounting, in folded up and/or outwardly turned and open position.
  • cylinders, pistons 19, or so-called gas-pressure actuators can be arranged for opening and/or turning of the windows or panes 6, 7 as is indicated in Fig,5.
  • the windows or panes 6, 7 should be provided with stable pivots 16, 17, 18 or the like to ensure stability during handling and assuming of the open position.
  • the vehicle 1 or its cabin 2 can also be equipped with rescue apparatus or the like, such as evacuation chutes, fire chutes, ropes rope ladders, ladders, fire extinguishing equipment, tools and/or first aid equipment, etc.
  • the said panes or windows can be of another type and construction as long as they show an openable opening at the front and/or rear of the vehicle or its cabin.
  • the cabin can be provided with a door on each side of the vehicle or cabin, which can be openable from the interior of the cabin but, according to the given embodiment of the invention, is not openable while the vehicle is in motion and/or when the vehicle is out along the track, this being an almost inescapable safety measure.
  • the vehicle or its cabin or its interior can also be adapted and designed in other respects to facilitate evacuation and not only evacuation through its front window but also evacuation through its rear window and by, for example, arranging chairs and seats to be displaceable, seats or backrests and the like to be foldable and fittings to be foldable or easily removable.
  • the cabin's interior can be provided with clear and easily understood instructions for evacuation or for emergency situations.

Abstract

L'invention concerne des véhicules ou des voitures faisant partie d'un sytème de véhicules ferroviaires et fonctionnant sans chauffeur, comportant un pare-brise (6) ou des éléments de ce dernier et/ou une vitre arrière (7) ou des éléments de cette dernière conçus pour être ouverts de l'intérieur (10) de la cabine (2) du véhicule. Par ailleurs, la voie (20) sur laquelle circulent lesdits véhicules comporte un côté supérieur (22) se présentant sous forme, par exemple, de parois, de plaques de recouvrement ou d'éléments analogues, formant un plan essentiellement régulier d'une largeur correspondant à celle du véhicule (1) ou de la cabine (2).
