Abstract

Une bague d'étanchéité assure l'étanchéité radiale entre une surface cylindrique interne (7) et une surface cylindrique creuse externe (3) qui entoure coaxialement la surface cylindrique interne. La bague d'étanchéité comprend un anneau de retenue (8) en un matériau indéformable reliable par ajustement serré à une des deux surfaces, qui sert de surface de support, et une lèvre (9) en matériau viscoplastique (par exemple PTFE) reliée à l'anneau de retenue (8), fixée par ajustement serré sur la même surface de support que l'anneau de retenue (8) et servant de lèvre d'étanchéité (6) qui coopère avec l'autre surface (7) comme surface d'étanchéité complémentaire. Une enveloppe (11) est située entre un col annulaire saillant (10) de l'anneau de retenue (8) et la surface de support afin de protéger l'anneau de retenue (8) du milieu à sceller et par rapport à la surface de support. La lèvre (6) est recourbée depuis l'extrémité opposée à l'anneau de retenue (8) de la partie (12) de la paroi située du côté de la rainure opposée à l'enveloppe (11), de manière à s'éloigner de l'anneau de retenue (8).
