Abstract
Un silencieux comprend une enveloppe périphérique extérieure (1) fermée des deux côtés par des fonds (4). Dans le fond (4) plus éloigné de l'orifice d'admission (3) est ménagé un orifice de sortie (5) et une partie insérée cylindrique (6) remplie d'un catalyseur est située à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe périphérique (1). La partie insérée cylindrique (6) est pourvue de passages (7) qui traversent en ligne droite le catalyseur.
