Abstract

Un procédé de production d'une couche électro-isolante et électro-protectrice d'oxyde d'aluminium sur des substrats semiconducteurs isolants métalliques et supraconducteurs consiste à former un film épitaxial ou polycristallin d'arséniure d'aluminium sur la surface du substrat, par exemple un substrat en arséniure de gallium, et à exposer le substrat revêtu d'arséniure d'aluminium, par exemple, d'arséniure de gallium, à de la vapeur d'eau, par exemple l'atmosphère ambiante contenant de la vapeur d'eau, à une pression de vapeur d'eau et pendant une durée suffisantes pour transformer complètement l'arséniure d'aluminium en oxyde d'aluminium.
