Abstract
On peut augmenter la viscosité de l'huile de ricin en la chauffant dans une atmosphère inerte jusqu'à des températures supérieures à 100°C en présence de bases anhydres. On peut utiliser l'huile de ricin modifiée ainsi obtenue en tant que constituant huileux onctueux des préparations cosmétiques, pour préparer des émulsions à viscosité accrue et comme lubrifiant pour bâtons à lèvres.
