  • the control unit may advantageously constitute a separate unit and is preferably located in the wheelhouse of the vessel thus allowing for convenient continuous reading. Thereby it is rendered possible to exert simple, easy and continuous control of the trawl wire setting and moreover, the above apparatus in the embodiments appearing from the independent claims may be manufactured from simple as well as inexpensive elements.
  • the characteristics of claim 2 afford a high degree of operational safety for the apparatus as the recording member and optionally addi ⁇ tional sensitive equipment is provided in the form of a removable housing. During times of non-use the housing may thus be be disconnec ⁇ ted from the clamping member that remains connected to the trawl wires often subjected to rough handling on board the vessel.

Abstract

L'appareil décrit peut se composer d'éléments relativement simples, tels que deux organes de serrage (8, 9) qui sont reliés à chacun des deux câbles (2') du chalut. L'un des organes de serrage (8) est assujetti pour empêcher le déplacement dans le sens longitudinal des câbles et un organe de liaison rigide (10) est placé entre les organes de serrage (8, 9) auxquels il est fixé pivotant. L'organe de liaison rigide est relié à un élément d'enregistrement électro-mécanique qui est construit de façon à enregistrer la position angulaire de l'organe de liaison (10) par rapport à l'organe de serrage assujetti (8) et de façon à émettre un signal électrique destiné à être transmis à une unité de commande pour permettre le traitement et l'affichage du signal reçu. La position du chalut peut ainsi être évaluée à partir de la timonerie du bateau, ce qui permet au capitaine du bateau de connaître à tout moment quelle est la position du chalut grâce à une lecture en continu du signal.
