- the touch electrode 2 can have the shape of the hand instruments which are generally used in dental technology.
- any shape can be justified, which is common in dentistry.
- the probe electrode can have 2 different shapes. With regard to the ease of use and the series measurements, in the dental example this can be designed as one piece with the drying gun of the dental chair. This is also useful because - as will be described in more detail later - the metal tip 17 must be connected to a previously dried surface.
- FIG. 2 schematically illustrates the circuitry implementation of the electronic unit with digital technology.

- This so-called threshold potential is stored in the memory 24 or 30 of the electronic unit of the device according to the invention, and it is compared with the currently measured potential value. The course of the measurement is further illustrated using the example of the metal implant used in the human mouth.
- the probe electrode 2 is on the dried surface che of the implant to be measured, e.g. B. the seal or bridge with the help of the metal tip 17 connected.
- the type of metal alloy which is installed in the patient's mouth is selected using the step button 13 before the start of the measurement.

- the signals arriving from the reference electrode 1 or the probe electrode 2 are passed into the amplifier 20 or 27, from which they come into the comparator 22 or 28 in the case of the digital version by the analog / digital converter 21 .
- the threshold potential corresponding to the metal alloy used is available, so that these signals can be compared in the comparator 22 or 28. If a value exceeding the threshold potential is perceived in the process, a signal is sent to the LED 11 indicating the danger level, otherwise it speaks LED 11 does not come on.
- the container 6 of the tip part 4 of the reference electrode 1 is immediately pulled down from the handle part 3 and immediately discarded.
- a new tip part 4 is taken out, which can be stored under sterile conditions in the manner shown.
- the device according to the invention Due to the design of the device according to the invention, an instrument with extremely small dimensions, but with easy handling, can be produced.
