Dadurch können die Werkstücke bzw. deren Träger entweder beide Umsetzstellen passieren oder sie können an einer Umsetzstelle angehalten werden und schließlich an der einen oder anderen Umsetzstelle an den Querförderer übergehen werden. Die Transportmittel des Querförderers entsprechen zweckmäßigerweise denjenigen der Transportbahnen. Hierzu hat der Tragrahmen des Querfδrderers zwei parallele Schienen von denen die eine Schiene Umlenkrollen für ein endloses Gurthand trägt, während an der anderen Schiene ein Rollensystem gelagert ist. In dieser Stellung liegt der Werkstückträger über dem Gurtband 5 und den Rollen 11 der Transportbahn 2 und kann durch Absenken des Querfδrderers 3 in seine mittlere Stellung auf die Teile 9, 11 aufgesetzt und antransportiert werden. Während des Umsetzvorgangs wirkt der in die Transportbahn 1 hineinragende Teil der Hohlschiene 14 der Querförderers als Anschlag für auf der Transporthahn 1 herangeführte, weitere Werkstückträger.
