Abstract

Este invento se refiere a moléculas de polinucleótidos que codifican la sintasa de la celulosa, promotores de la sintasa de la celulosa y polipéptidos de la sintasa de la celulosa, métodos para, genéticamente, alterar la biosíntesis de la celulosa y de la lignina y métodos para mejorar las propiedades de fuerza de la madera joven y de las fibras en los árboles. El invento también se refiere a métodos para identificar elementos regulatorios en un promotor de la sintasa de la celulosa y los factores de transcripción que ligan o enlazan a dichos elementos reguladores y a métodos para aumentar la expresión de los polinucleótidos, imperablemente ligados o enlazados a un promotor de la sintasa de la celulosa.
