Abstract

Un método y aparato mejorados, para recuperar la energía de desechos mediante la combustión de los mismos en hornos industriales, particularmente de tipo rotatorio, que tienen un calcinador externo, alimentando tales desechos al ducto de aire terciario del calcinador y quemando los desechos dentro del mismo ducto, para aprovechar eficientemente la energía producida por tal combustión, como una contribución al gasto total de combustibles necesarios para operar el horno industrial. El cual comprende las etapas de: a- acondicionar los desechos por quemar, en forma continua o en lotes adecuados para que sean manejables convenientemente, b- alimentar los desechos continuamente o en lotes, al ducto de aire terciario del citado calcinador externo del horno rotatorio; c- quemar los desechos alimentados dentro del ducto de aire terciario mencionado, d- pasar los gases de combustión generados en la etapa anterior al calcinador del horno rotatorio, y e- separar los residuos sólidos remanentes de la combustión en dicho ducto de aire terciario.
