Compuesto edulcorante artificial que comprende L-aspartilo-D-alfa-aminoalcanoilo-(S)-alfa-alquilbenciloamida. Ejemplos no limitantes de edulcorantes artificiales seleccionados: L-aspartilo-D-alfa-ácido aminobutírico-(S)-N-alfa-etilbencil amida, L-aspartilo-D-valina-(S)-N-alfa-etilbencil amida, L-aspartilo-D-alanina-(S)-N-alfa-metilo-bencilo amida. Es de alcance un método de endulzar una composición comestible que comprende agregar un compuesto edulcorante artificial conforme a lo descrito a un material para producir una composición endulzada comestible.
