To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDMUND GREASLY, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Fringe, of {which the following is a specification:

My design for a fringe is fully shown in the accompanying drawing, and comprises two main portio[is-namely, the heading A and loose pendent portion B.

The heading A consists of a number of parallel rows, a. of threads or strands, bound together at intervals by cords b, the loose pendent ends of which carry tnt'ts d, and form the pendent portion B of the fringe.

I am aware that tufted cords have been heretofore combined with headings, as shown in the Patent No. 188,804, March 27, 1877.

This, therefore, I do not desire to claim broadly; but

1 claim as my invention- The design t'ora fringe, comprising the head ing; A, composed of a number of rows of strands, and the pendent portion B, composed of the loose tufted cords, all as described, and as illustrated in and by the accompanying drawing.
