DESIGN FOR A SHADE-TASSEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,259, dated May 15, 1894. Application filed March 17,1894. Serial No. 504,097. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JoHN O. REMINGToN,a citizen of the United States, residing at Hingham, Plymouth county, State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Shade-Tassels, of which the following is a specication, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which represents a fac-simile of the same.
The leading features of my design consist in a tassel having a head which is provided with two loop rulfs.
The shade tassel comprising my design consists of a skirt 2 and a head 3, the body of this part of the tassel is covered with piping 4, Wound about it. The general effect being that of a coil or spiral. Midway of the head and at the dividing line between the skirt and the head are secured two ru fls 5, 6 upper and lower respectively. loop ruis since the material composing them is arranged in a series of loops in lieu of being out. The effect of the loops when grouped or massed to produce a ru is to present a wavy appearance. The lower ruff is to be of greater thickness than the uppor consisting of two or more rows of loops as may be desired.
What I claim is- The design for a shade tassel, substantially as specified and described.
