SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,824, dated June 7, 1898. Application filed January 28, 1898. Serial No. 668,356. Term of patent 3-1 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, FRANK II. MAURER, a citizen of the United States of America, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fringe, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, showing said fringe.

In the drawing, A indicates the border or body of the fringe, from the lower edge of which depends a series of rounded loops B B, &c., said loops being arranged, as shown, so that each loop is intersected, so to speak, by two other similar loops.

C C, 820., are knots from which depend tassel ends D D, &c., said knots being secured to the center of each loop I as shown.

The leading material feature of my design consists in the rounded border loops and knotted tassels depending therefrom, substantially as shown.

Having now described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a fringe as herein shown and described.
