DESIGN FOR COFFIN-HANDLE SOCKET.

Be it known that I, RUSSELL H. BURR, of West Meriden, in the county 0E New Haven and State ofGonnecticnt, have invented anew Design for Coffin-Handle Socket; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to he a full, clear, and exact description ot'the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a front view.
This invention relates to a design for the sockets for supporting cofiin-handles, and by which the handle is attached to the coflin; and it consists in the peculiar configuration of the base or plate, as shown in the accompanying illustration, and hereinafter described.
The plate is flat, and on three sides a projeetion is formed-that on one side at right angles to the other two-these projections terminating in a concave segment at the angles, and with a convex segment on the extreme end, leaving a portion of the end between the two segments straight and at right angles to the sides or the projections, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim The design for cofiin-handle socket, consisting in a vertical projection at the top and bottom, and a like projection at one side at right angles to the top and bottom, the ends of the said projections terminating in a concave out at the angles, and a convex projection in the center, with a straight space between.
