DESIGN FOR COFFlN-HANDLE EARS.
Specification forming part of Design bio. 9,97 1, dated May 15, 1877; application filed May 7, 1877.
[Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, RUSSELL H. BURR, of West Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented anew Design for Coifin-Handle Ears; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters ofrei'erence marked thereon, to he a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a front view.
This invention relates to a design for the ear or socket of coifin-handles; and consists of the peculiar configuration shown in the accompanying illustration.
The socket 0. forms the center, and rises from the base, by which the socket is secured. The upper and lower sides I) of the base are of semicircular form, with an end projection, 0, between the two sides. 0n the surface of the base, and each side the socket, a leaf, 01, ex tends outward, the stem of the leaf surrounding the screw-holes, and the edge of the leaf covering a portion of the edge of the base, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for coiiin-handle socket, consisting of the base and semicircular sides. the socket a, arranged thereon, and with a leaf branching outward from each side, as herein described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
