DESIGN FOR COFFEE-MILL COVERS.
Specification forming part of Design To whom it may concern Be it'known that I, PIETRO UINQUINI, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Coffee-Mill Cover; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent in- Fignre 1, top view 5 Fig. 2, transverse section.
This invention relates to a design for the cover of that class of coffee-mills known as box-mills, and in which the hopper is set flush with the top of the box, the cover constructed in divisions, so as to be turned from over the hopper in a horizontal plane; and the invention consists, first, in the peculiar configuration of the cover; and, second, in the ornamentation of the same.
The cover is of circular form, and in trans- NO. 9,189, dated April 4, 1876; application filed March 16, 1876. [Term of Patent 14 years] verse section, as shown in Fig. 2, a flat edge, then a segmental or convex border, with the central portion raised to the Spindleopening, as shown in Fig. 2.
The ornamentation consists of a border of scroll-work, surrounding a center of leaves projecting radially from the spindle-opening, as shown in Fig. 1.
I claim- 1. The design for box-mill cover, consisting of the flat edge, convex border, and raised central portion, as shown in the accompany: ing illustration.
2. The design for the ornamentation of boxmill cover, consisting of the border of scrollwork, with the center of radial leaves, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
