, PatentedMarchw Inventor:
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
CHARLES B. CLARK, OF BUFFALO, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR SHUTTER-FASTENERS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,236, dated March 10, 1874; application filed January 28, 1874. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that 1, CHARLES B. CLARK, of
lutt'alo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented a Design for a Blind-Catch, of which the following is a speeiiication:
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made, and in whieh- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the parts of the catch, shown detached; and Fig. 13, a front elevation of the same, shown applied to a blind.
In the drawings, B represents a portion of a blind, to which is attached the blind-piece U. The top of the hook I) is surmounted by a spherical knob or ball, a, which, being the most prominent part of the catch, is both conspicuous and ornamental, while it serves equally well the use for which it is intended.
The top of the plate G is semicircular, the lower part of the plate being somewhat wider than the top, and its sides are straight and parallel, the semicircular top connecting with them by a slight outward curve at (l (I. The sill-plate l) is of similar form, in respect to its horizontal portion, to that of G. The sides 0 e have a convex curve at their points of connec tion with the Vertical plane of the plate 0, from which they start, as shown in Fi l.
I claim as my invention- The design for a shutter-fastening, as herein described and shown.
In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
CHARLES B. CLARK.
