Specification forming part of Design No. 9,361, dated July 4, 1W6, application filed June 2'2, 1576. [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, RUSSELL II. BURR, oi" \Vest Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design t'orUasket Screw-.llate; and 1 do here by declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, to be a full, clear, and exactdescription of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a face View.
This invention relates to a design for the base or plate of screws for e: skets and like purposes-that is to say, the plate which lies upon the surface of the casket, and on which the screw hears; and the invention consists in the peculiar outline of the plate, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
The sides of the plate are paralleltwith a I central ornament, projecting each side in two ogee curves, the ends terminating in like ogee curves, with an outward hook shape projection, a, at each side, at the spring of t ie curves, which form the tip, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
1 claim- The design for casket screw plates or base, consisting of the plate with parallel sides, with a central double ogee ornament, and corresponding tips at the ends with a hook-shape projection on each side at the spring- 0f the tips, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
