To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LEONARD S. BEALS, of Astoria, in the county of Queens and State of New York, have originated and designed a new Pattern for Shirt-Studs, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being bad to the aceompanying drawing, making part of this specification, in which drawing- Fignre 1 represents a plan or top view. Fig. 2 is a side view.

Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.

This design for shirt-studs consists in an elliptical cup with a flat rim, in combination with a. cameo representing the figure of a human head, and fitting said cup.

In the drawing, the letter A designates my shirt-stud, which is composed of an elliptical cup, (r-, supported by a spiral shank, I). Said cup is provided with a flat rim, 0, and it con tains a. cameo, (1, representing the figure of a. human head.
