DESIGN FOR A CLOCK'CASE.
specification forming part of Design No. 8,742, dated [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom 'it may conce'fn:
Be it known that I, HERMANN J. MULLER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for a Clock-Case, of which the following is a specification:
The ligure is a front view of a clockcase illnstrating' my design.
A is the base or lower part of the case, the foot of which projects a little. The front of the base A is sliglitly concaved, and its end parts are ornainen ted with vines and leaves. The middle part of the front of the base has asemicircular rece-ss formed in it, With an offset at each end of its arch, and over the cen ter of which is a pointed projection, the point of which tonchcs the projecting foot, and its' front is ornamented with.vines and leaves. At the ends of the base A are projections B, similar in form and ornamentation to the front of said base A, and upon the tops of which rest the pedestals U of two shafts, I). Upon the capitals E of the shafts D rest the end parts or projections F of the top G of the case. The fronts of the projeotions F and top G are ornamented with vines and leaves, to correspond With the form and ornamentation of October 19,1875; application iiled September 25, 1875.

Above the front edge of the top G is a trianguiar project-ion, H, the apex ot' which is surmonnted with an oruamental cross, I. The front of the projection H and cross I are ornainented with vnes and leaves. Upon the top of the end projcctions F of the top G a. formed inclined or roof-shaped projections J which extend into the rear of the projection H. The door'frarne K is made with an arched top and rcctangular bottoxn, and is ornamented with vines and leaves.
I claiin as my invention-- The design for a clock-case furmed of the base A and its end projections B, the pedestals O, the shafts D, the capitals E, the top G and its end projections F, the triangnlar projection H and its surmounting cross I, the top projections J, and the doorefralne K, the whole being shaped and ornalnented as herein shown and described.
