DESIGN FOR lNKSTAND-SUPPORTS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,363, dated June 1, 1875; application filed May 14, 1875. [Term of Patent 7 years] CASE E.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES KITsonELT, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a Design for Supports for Inkstauds, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made, and in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation, and Fig. 2 a plan view, re 'nesenting my design aforesaid.
The upper part of the base A is raised around the rabhet a, in which the inkstand is placed, and finished at its lateral portions by a rounded head, I). The sides of the base are narrowed, as shown, from a to b, to the front 0 thereof. The front 0 projects forward and downward with an inward curve, as shown at r, and terminates in a nearly upright panel, B, the form and chasing upon which are represented in Fig.1. At each rear corner of the base is a pillar,f, surmounted by an inclined tablet, g, and springing from the pillars, near the top thereof, is a sloping tablet, (l, which is formed with lateral projections m, resembling blunt arrows in shape.
I propose to make this design in bronze or other suitable metal or hard material \Vhat I claim as my invention is- The design for an inkstand-su iport, comprising the base A, having the rounded head I), the sloping front a, upright panel 1 pillars f, and sloping tablet (J, the whole having the contour and configuration substantially as herein set forth.
