DESIGN FOR A BURIAL GASKET.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part cf the saire.
I, PHJLLIPP J. MARC HAL, of Hartford, in the county of Hartford and the State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for Burial Gaskets, of which the following is a specification.
The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
The letter a indicates the head of the casket.
b, the side, which may be made of wood, metal, or other suitable material.
Ir, will be observed- First, that the whole top swells from the sides in such fashion that a cross-section ofthe same is a double ogee.
Second, that the casket tapers symmetrically from the head to the foot.
Third, that the head, and the foot like it, ofcourse, has an ornamental molding, which follows the general outline.
Claim.
I claim as my invention- The general design for a burial casket, as set forth. Dated January 3l, 1870.
