The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
I, ELHANAN Ormnsnrrnn, of the city of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Iron Railing, of which the following is a specification.

The photograph represents a side elevation of a panel of a fence, composed of longitudinal rails A A and open pales l3.
The perpendicular rods 0 O of the pales B connect at the lower ends with the rail A, and the corner leaves a, a, which have between them a pendent leaf, 1).
The lower ends of said rods terminate in double scrolls (l d, having conical projections e The upper ends of said rods are brought together, forming a gothic arch, f, which is ornamented in front by the leaves g g, which face the rail A.
On the top of the arch f is a crown-leaf, h.
Inside of the arch there are double scrolls d rl',siinilar to the scrolls d d,
The middle portions of the rods 0 C have an ornament, 1), having circular openings j, partly covered by the central ornament E.
The rails A A have ornamental bands, It, attheir ends, and between the pales B.
I claim as my invention- The design for iron railing, as shown.
In testimony that the above is my invention, Ihave hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 23d day of April, 1870.
