DESIGN FOR A BIDET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,853, dated April 8, 1902.

Application filed February 10, 1902- Serial No. 98,455. Term of patent 14 years.

To all; whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FRANK A.WELLs, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York city, borough of Manhattan, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Bidet, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof, wherein- Figurel is a plan view of a bidet embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof, and Fig. 3 is an end view looking from the right-hand side in Fig. 2.

The leading or material feature of my design consists in the shape or configuration of a bidet, wherein the upper edge of the bowl portion has a rolled or curved rim, and beneath said rim the outer walls of the bowl are in curved or rounded form at the forward and rear portions, and beneath the forward portion of the bowl is a downwardly and rearwardly curved horn or pro jection,and beneath the rear portion of the bowl and extending along the back thereof is a rib having a rearward projection. Within the bowl the bottom wall is inclined at the forward portion in the form of a depression provided with ahole leading downwardly.

In the drawings the letter A indicates the bowl, at the upper portion of which is located the rolled or curved rim B, which is curved convexly at the front and rear and has concave curves B between the convex curves, the front wall of the bowl beneath the rim being curved, and the side walls of the bowl are rounded or swelled at the front portion at a and at the rear portion at a the swelled portion a extending below the swelled portion a and between the portions (1 a on each side the bowl has a depressed portion (t the sides Ct at a following generally curvature of the outer edge of the rim B thereabove. Beneath the front portion of the bowl is the downwardly and rearwardly extending curved born 0, having an enlargement at c. Beneath the swelled portion 01, of the bowl is a rib D, above which, at the rear of the portion a the rib extends in a reduced form at d, and at d is an extension projecting outwardly from and below the junction of the rib portions D LZ. Within the bowl the bottom E is inclined downwardly, forming a depression or pocket at e, in which is an opening f. In further details the bottom E has an opening g, surrounded by a countersunk or recess g I claim The design for a bidet, substantially as herein shown and described.
