Description

DESIG N. No. 33,8l0. Patented Dec. 25, I900. L. M. ROSENBERG.
BELT.
(Applieltion filed Nov. 80, 1900.]
WITNESSES:
UNITED STATES LOUIS M. ROSENBERG on NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A BELT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,810, dated December 25, 1900.
Application filed November 30, 1900. Seria1N0.3B,275- Term of patent 3% years- To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, LOUIS M. ROSENBERG, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Belts, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing substantially its appearance when buckled together. Fig. 2 is a plan view showing the peculiar curvatures provided.
The essential features of mydesign consist in a belt in which the greatest breadth is at the middle or back thereof and from which point the breadth diminishes in a substantially uniform manner towardits ends. The middle or back portion is also upon a plane quite a little lower than the sides. From the back the sides rise up considerably, having a convex outline on the top and a concave outline below. Next the sides straighten out and begin to bend upward again, their upper portions now being concave and their under portions convex, the width of the belt diminishing all the time, and finally after straightening again the ends, one of which has secured it to a buckle, the other being provided with perforations, bend slightly downward. As will be seen, the couvolutions or wavy outlines diminish in magnitude from the center outwardly.
It is apparent that this design is applicable not only to belts alone, but to waistbands of garments and other similar articles.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a belt, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two witnesses.
LOUIS M. ROSENBERG.
