DESIGN FOR A SAD-IRON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,7 33', dated December 19 Application filed November 17, 1900. b'erial No. 36,910. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HARRY E. ASBURY, a .itizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and 5 produced a certain new and original Design for a Sad-Iron, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a-sad-iron is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- :0 Figure 1 is a plan View. Fig. 2 is a side View, and Fig. 3 is an end View.
The essential feature of the design is the arrangement and shape of the panels and the general ornamentation of the sad-iron.
:5 A is the body of the iron, and B the top plate. Both the top plate and body have curved sides and are pointed at each end.
Z) I) are side panels having raised borders 0 c, the inner border being slightly curved at 20 the center and straight near each end. The
panels are set on an angle, being higher at the inner side than at the edge. The border at each end of the top is scalloped at the inner edge, as shown, and the groundwork of the design is stippled. At the center of the top plate is an opening d, crossed by a bar d, and the plate is tapered toward each end of the opening.
I claim- The design for a sad-iron as herein described and shown in the accompanying drawings.
