DESIGN FOR A CADDY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,524, dated November 6, 1900.
Application filed August 20, 1900. Serial No. 27,508. Term of patent Si years- To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH B. LONG, a citi zen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Caddies, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which are made a part of said specification, and in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a caddy embodying the new design. Fig. 2 is an end elevation thereof with the legs broken.
A caddy of the new design has a body the front, back, and end walls of which are vertical and flat, save that the outer face of the front wall comprises a large flat panel C, surmounted by a narrow raised strip or rib D, both extending from end to end of the body, the strip or rib having along its horizontal margins inturned flanges d. The top of the caddy comprises a narrow flat portion E, disposed horizontally, a narrow raised strip or rib e, and a plurality of lids F,which are of on rved cross-section and present the appearance of sunken curved panels, their end margins covered and concealed by curved ribs The upper margins of the ends G are curved to correspond with the on rvatu re of the lids F. The body is supported by legs H at its four corners.
The leading essential features of the new design are the body having the flat front panel 0, extending from end to end, and the curved lids F, presenting the appearance of sunken panels.
A minor feature of the design is the narrow raised strip or rib D, extending from end to end of the body and disposed above the flat panel 0 and below the curved lids.
