DESIGN FOR A KNIFE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,240, dated September 25, 1900.
Application filed June 14, 1900- Sez-ial No. 20.373. Term of patent Blyears.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that FREDERICK FERDINAND WIEHL,a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Chattanooga, county of Hamilton, State of Tennessee, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Knife, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design fora knife, the object being to provide a novel and original shape or configuration for this kind of an article; and the invention consequently consists of a knife having the shape, configuration, and ornamentation shown and described.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my newly-designed knife. Fig. 2 is a cross-section on line 00 w of Fig. 1.
The leading or essential feature of my new and original design consists of the round elongated figure A, which serves as the handle of the knife, and to this round handle portion A is connected the flat thin extension B,wl1ich furnishes an appropriate shape for the knifeblade proper, said blade B having the pointed end a, which curves in one direction from the main body of the blade B, while the edges 0 and D of said blade B are both sharp for a portion of their length. At the end of the rounded handle A opposite to the flat blade figure Bis shown an ornamental point E, projecting therefrom in the shape of a round cylindrical projection. In the length of the round handle A is a longitudinal sunken panel F.
What I claim is- The design for a knife, substantially as shown and described.
