DESIGN FOR A SHELF-BRACKET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,168, dated September 4, 1900. Application filed August 8,1960. Serial No. 26.315. Term of patent 14 years.
To ad whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN D. JOHNSTQN, a r ".izen of the United States, residing at Newport, in the county of Newport and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Shelf-Bracket, of which the following is a specification.
This in ven tion relates t0 a new and original design for a shelf-bracket; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which shall he both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in the straight flat shank provided at one end with a downtnrned U -shaped hook, said shank being also provided intermediate its ends with a laterally-offset approximatelyrectangular fiat rest-arm projecting from one of the fiat faces of the shank at right angles thereto and from the side thereof opposite the hook.
The minor features of the design are the hook at one end of the shank being provided with the angular or approximately V-shaped point, and the rectangular oset rest-arm being of a greater width than the shank from which it projects.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of ashelf-bracket embodying the hereindescribed design. Fig. 2 is a side edge View thereof. FigA 3 is an elevation of the same.
Referring particularly to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates the shank or body portion of the bracket, which shank is flat and of a cross-sectionally-rectangnlar shape. The said straight dat shank is provided at one end with a downturned U-shaped hook 2, having an angular or approximately V-shaped point or nose 3, and in addition to the hook the shank is further provided intermediate its ends with a laterally offset approximatelyrectangular fiatrest-arm 4. This rest-arm is of a greater width than the shank from which it projects, and is extended from one of the fiat faces of the shank at right angles thereto and from the side opposite the hook.
What is claimed is- The design for a shelf-bracket herein shown and described.
