GEORGE F. CONNER,OFPORTIIURUN,MICIIIGA1\'.
DESlGN FOR A TOOTH FOR THRESHlNG-MACHINE CYLINDERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,400, dated March 27, 1900.
Application filed March 1. 1900. Serial NO- 7,020- Term of patent 14 years.
'1'!) a, whom. it iii/1;; min-07w.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE F. CONNER, a j citizen of the United States, residing at Port l Huron, in the county of St. Clair and State of 1 Michigan, have invented and produced anew and original Design for Teeth l'or 'lhreshing- Machines, of which the following is a specitication, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a new and original design for teeth for threshing-machine cylinders, and it is embodied in the form and configuration of tooth presently to be described, and illustrated in the accompanying l drawings.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of the tooth. Fig. 2 is an edge view, and 1 Fig. 3 is a top plan View.
The tooth or casting has a shank portion A, formed with flat sides, and a slightly-curved back side a.
B designates a blade portion slightly tapered, having flat sides with a slightly-curved rear edge, the curvature of which forms a continuation of the curved rear side a of the shank. The entire back of the tooth is slightly con vexed transversely.
The blade portion ll, i
as stated, is slightly tapered, and its lower end is broadened and is slightly rounded on the toe, as at I). The front face of the tooth, including the shank and blade, is substantially concaved and is curved transversely in opposite directions rearward, forming a convexed edge-that is to say, the front face of the tooth is longitudinally concaved and transversely convexed.
The essential feature of the design is the particular shape of the tooth, having a transversely convexed and longitudinally eoncaved forward edge and curved real-edge, substantially as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a tooth for a threshing-machine cylinder, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have affixed my signature in presence of two witnesses.
