EARLE, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne, State of Michigan, citizens of the United States, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Grass-Hooks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for grass-hooks.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of our design for grasshooks. Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof. Fig. 3 is an elevation looking toward the tang of the blade.
The leading feature of our design consists in acurved blade tapering toward the point and havinga raised flange at the back thereof and a handle attached to the tang of the blade provided with reverse bends and carrying a hand-grip which stands nearly at right angles with the blade. The handle inclines upwardly from the blade, so that the hand-grip thereof is above the plane of the blades under face.
A designates the blade, andct the flange at the back thereof.
B designates the handle, having the handgrip C and the reverse bends b and c therein, and D designates the point of union between the handle and the blade, the whole presenting an ornate and harmonious figure, as shown in the drawings.
Having thus described our design what we claim is- The design for a grass-hook, substantially, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof we sign this specification in the presence of witnesses.
