(Application filed Oct. 25, 1899.)
J 7 MM w W mmey UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
BAINBRIDGE W. BURDICK, OF ALBANY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A PLATE LlFTlNG-BAR SHELL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,904, dated November 28, 1899.
Application filed October 25, 1899. $erial No. 734,737. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, BAINBRIDGE W. BUR- DICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Albany, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Plate Lifting-Bar Shells, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective View of a plate lifting-bar shell, showing my new design as viewed from its upper side. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the same viewed from its lower side. Fig. 3 is a section taken transverse to the length of the shell. Fig. 4 is a section taken in direction of the length of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading and material feature of my design consists in a shell having the shape or configuration shown when viewed as in the several figures. In this shape or configuration of the shell A its upper side wall a is shown to be both oblong and flat in form, and its side walls b b are shown to be integral with the upper side wall a and connected with the latter by rounded corners c c and are inclined inwardly and toward each other as they run downwardly. Its lower side wall portions (1 d are shown to be connected by rounded corners e e to the inclined side wall b b. The opposite ends of the side walls I) b are shown to incline inwardly as they run from the ends of the upper wall a to the lower wall portions d d, and the ends of said lower wall are shown in Fig. 2 to be made with concave form of lines f.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a plate lifting-bar shell, as herein shown and described.
BAINBRIDGE W. BURDIOK.
