UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
CHARLES R. HOLDEN, OF ARDMORE,'INDIAN TERRITORY.
DESIGN FOR A STEAM-TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,757, dated October 31, 1899.
Application filed September 26, 1899. Serial No. 731,774. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, CHARLES R. HOLDEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ardmore, in the county of Chickasaw, Indian Territory, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Steam-Tables; and I do deelare the following to be a full, clear, and eX- act description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to steam-tables.
The object of the invention is to provide a new design for steam-tables of the class used for keeping warm foods which have been cooked.
The principal and leading feature of my invention is the T shape of the table and appurtenances, as clearly shown in the drawing.
The design is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure represents a perspective view of a steam-table constructed in accordance with my invention.
In the drawing, A represents a fire-chamher having in its front face a door a and having at its rear end a smoke-pipe a The fire-box is, as shown, arranged in the center of the structure, and resting upon it and extending at right angles therefrom is the upper main portion of the steam-table. The upper portion consists of a water-box B, having openings 1) in its upper face, and food-receptacles O, and the covers 0 of the food-receptacle. The covers are slightly tapering from their lower and their upper ends. The waterbox is supported entirely by the fire-chain her and, as shown, extends an equal distance from each side thereof, the general contour of the entire steam-table and appurtenances being that of the letter T with ashort stem.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a steam-table, substantially as herein shown and described.
CHARLES R. HOLDEN. Witnesses:
