DESIGN FOR A WASHING-BLOCK.
To all whom, it incl/y concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. DIDWAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at New .York,(Greenpoint,LongIsland,) in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design. for VVashing-Blocks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a bottom plan view of a washing-block, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same, and Fig. 3 is an end View.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of an approximately rectangular body 1, having a flat top 2, longitudinal angular grooves or recesses 3 3 in its sides, and an angular or irregular bottom face 4, formed by longitudinal grooves and ridges.
The body 1 is in general of square a rectangular contour, as shown in the drawings, and has flat or relatively parallel ends 5 5. The longitudinalgrooves or recesses 3 in the sides of the body 1 are shown as of approxi matelyV shape in cross-section, and the edges of the body 1 at the top and bottom of the sides and ends are rounded, as at 6. The corrugated bottom face 4 is shown with grooves and projections longitudinally and alternately arranged, one wall of said projections being short or narrow, as shown at 7, while the other wall is long or wide, as shown at 8. Said corrugated top surface is also shown surrounded by a series of circular knobs or projections 9.
Having fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent* The design for a Washing-block, substantiall y as herein shown and described.
