UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FERDINAND SCIHVEDTMANN, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A CONVERTER-BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,688, dated May 2, 1899.
Application filed August 28. 1897. Serial No. 649.886- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FERDINAND Scnwnnr MANN, acitizen of the United States, residing at the city of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Converter-Box, of which the following is such a full, clear, and exact description as will enable anyone skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
In the drawings, where my new and original design is shown and where like marks of reference refer to the same parts, Figure 1 is a front elevation. Fig. 2 is a side elevation. Fig. 3 is a section on the line 3 3 of Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is a section on the line i 4 of Fig. 1.
The leading features of my design consist in a substantially rectangular part portion 5, having the corners rounded, and a substantially rectangular portion 6, projecting from the front face of the part portion 5 and also having its corners rounded. The portion U extends from near the lower end of the part 5 to the top of the same. At the top of the box the front face of the portion 6 is connected with the sides of the part 5 by rounded portion 7, so that a section of the top of the box would be in the form of a rectangle with twocornersconsiderablyrounded. Thecover of the box conforms to the shape of the top of the box, but projects beyond it. On the periphery of the cover is a depending flange 8. At the center-of the cover is a raised panel 9. which is connected with the main portion of the cover by inclined faces 10.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a converter-box substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal in the presence of the two subscribing witnesses.
FERDINAND SCllll'EllTlL-lNN.
