DESIGN FOR A SCALE-BASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,941, dated June 10, 1902.
Application filed July 6, 1900. Serial No. 22.765. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, ORANGE O. OZIAS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing and having my post-office address in Dayton,
in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Scale-Base; and I hereby declare that the following is a clear, full, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which like numerals refer to like parts.
Figure l of the drawings is a top plan view of a scale-base embodying my invention and design, and Fig. 2 is a sectional view thereof on line X X of Fig. l.
The leading or material feature of my invention and design consists of a curved hollow scale-base having` a curved opening in its top, a hollow projection from one side thereof, said projection having square outer corners with an intermediate outwardly-curved central portion, said square corners being joined to said curved base byinwardly-curved intermediate portions, the Walls of said base being curved inward and upward, as shown.
In said drawings, represents said curved hollow scale-base; 11, said curved opening through its top; l2, said hollow projection from one side thereof and having the square outer corners; 14, said outwardly-curved portion extending between said square outer corners of projection l2, and represents said inwardly-curved portions intermediate said square corners and said curved base 10. The exterior surfaces are highly polished, which the varying contour and configuration of my design blends into a pleasing effect.
i/Vhat I claim is- The design lfor a scale-base, substantially as shown and described.
