MATCH SAFE 0R TRAY.
WITNESSES HYVENTOI? U ITED STATES PATENT OFFICE;
BENJAMIN WOLF, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE NATIONAL METAL EDGE BOX COMPANY, OF NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A MATCH SAFE OR TRAY.
SPECIFICATION fofming part of Design No. 31,299, dated ugust 1, 1899;
Application filed February 13 1899. Serial N0.'705,444. Term of patent 7 years.
.To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, BENJAMIN WOLF, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Match Safes or Trays, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.
My design can best be understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, of which- Figure 1 is a perspective view looking at the top, and Fig. 2 a perspective View looking at the bottom, of a match safe or tray embodying my design.
A A are the two ends of the match safe or tray embodying my design, and B B the two sides.
A portion 0 of the bottom, in the shape of a right-angled triangle and at one of the corners of the box, is provided with a series of corrugations or serrations. The side of the triangle adjacent to the side B is considerably longer than the side adjacent to the end A. This triangular shaped roughened portion 0, its shape, and its location relative to one side and end of the tray constitute the essential features of my design.
D is a hole near one corner of the bot-tom of the tray.
Having now fully described my design, what I claim, and desire to protect by Letters Patent, is
The design for a match safe or tray substantially as shown and described.
In testimony of which invention I have hereunto set my hand, at Philadelphia, on this 9th day of February, 1899.
BENJAMIN WOLF.
