Jae for Patentad Mar. 28. I899.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
AUGUST V. MEYER, OF HARRINGTON, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF TO MERRELLS E. COVEY, 0F ELGIN, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A CRACKER-CABINET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,426, dated March 2 8, 1899.
Application filed March 3,1899. Serial No. 707,692. Torm'of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, AUGUST W. MEYER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Barrington, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cracker-Cabinets, of which the following is aspecification.
My design is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which represents a perspective of a cracker-cabinet of my design.
The leading feature of my design [or a cracker-cabinet consists of a frame having an upright oblong back, irregular pentagonal ends which are each divided into four unequal trapezoidal panels, and an inclined oblong front subdivided into a number of oblong panels of equal dimensions, which give to the cabinet a distinguishing and characteristic appearance.
The cabinet comprises a rectangular base A, a rectangular top 13, irregular pentagonal ends 0, the upright oblong back wall E, and the oblong inclined front F, divided intoa number of panels of equal size by upright and transverse moldings H and I.
The rectangular top B is of less width than the rectangular base A, and the oblong inclined front wall F extends from a line substantially coincident with the front edges of the base and top. The irregular pentagonal ends extend between the base and the top, the narrowest portion of said ends being at the top, and each of said ends is subdivided into trapezoidal panels of unequal sizes. The portion of the front wall of the cabinet extending along one side of the irregular pentagonal ends between the inclined portion of the front wall and the base is upright, as shown at G, the front wall as a whole thus having an angularspace,of which the lower and narrower portion is upright and the upper broad portion is inclined or oblique.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Design Letters Patent, is-
The design for a cracker-cabinet, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
AUGUST W. MEYER.
