Description

D25-b l- OR D319527 EX DESIGN.
No. 3|,527 Patented Sept. l9, I899. H. G. RUTH.
DISPLAY FIXTURE FOB STORES. (Applicaticn filed. July 11, 1690,
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY G. ROTH, OF MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA.
DESlGN FOR A DlSPLAY-FIXTURE FOR STORES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,527, dated. September 19, 1899. Application filed July 17,1899. Serial No. 724,144. Term of patent 7 years.
To all 2 Be it known that I, HENRY G. ROTH, a citil zen of the United States, residing at Minnei apolis, in the county of Hennepin, Minnesota, have invented and produced a new and origil nal'Design for a Display-Fixture for Stores, 1 of which the following is a specification, referl ence heinghad to the accompanying drawing, l forming a part thereof.
In said drawing the single view is a perspective illustrating a display-fixture for stores embodying my invention.
As therein shown, the leading or material features of my design are the columns ct, the capitals or head-pieces b, and the arch or con necting plates 0, with the parts disposed with i respect to each other, as shown.
The columns a are represented as rising from the top member of the shelving 1 and 1 as if made up of a series of sections. 1
The capitals b have enlarged upper sections 1 of circular form and reduced lower sections, l the reduction being on curved lines joining l the curve of the upper section.
The arch or connecting plates 0 are under cut on a true curve to give the effect of a true i arch.
The hcad-pieces b and the arch-pistes c are in practice usually covered with paint or paper in suitable contrasting colors.
\Vith the parts a, b, and c disposed as above described a colonnade canopy is afforded to the display-shelving, which adds greatly to the artistic effect.
This design is especially intended for use in grocery and other stores, surmounting shelving for displaying canned and bottled goods.
The face-surfaces of plates 1) and 0 may be utilized for display-cards advertising the different kinds of goods.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is as follows:
The design for a display-fixture for stores, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HENRY G. ROTH.
