DESIGN FOR A PICTURE-HANGER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,179, dated February 14, 1899.
Application filed January 1 B, 1 8 9 9.
Serial No. 702,361. Term of patent 8 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS J. BRUCE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mayburg, in the county of Forest and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Pictu re-Hangers; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a design for a picture-hanger; and it consists of the essential arrangement and contour of parts, as will be more fully hereinafter described.
The invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which-=- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a picturehanger embodying the design. Fig. 2 is a side view of the same.
Referring now more particularly to the drawings, wherein like letters of reference designate corresponding parts throughout both views, A represents the upper portion of the hanger, which consists of a plate hav= ing its upper end curved and turned down to form a hook B.
The lower portion of the hanger,embodying the essential features of my design, comprises a reduced stem 0, rovided at its free end with oppositely-promoting lateral arms (1 d and a lower pendent arm d, which form in conjunction therewith a cross-shaped hanger or suspending member E. These arms may be apertured, as shown, for the reception of hooks.
Having thus described my invention, I claim- The design for a picture-hanger, substantially as herein shown and described.
