Figure Sisa vtransverse vertical section of tig. 1. This invention relatesto adesign .for a clock-ease, said design consisting mainly of two parts, the base or pedestal B, and the 'ease proper, C. I Y' The pedestal or base, B, is embellished by rieh arabesques, as shown in tigsl and. 2'. On it is the case proper C, the upper part of which is in the shape of a horseshoe arch, A, (which contains the Vdia.lhole,) supported by two columns E E, one on each side. The arch A in the front is composed of small rectangular or trapezoids B, alternately raised and sunk, each oi' these rectangles containing ornaments, as shown igs. 2 and 1. The space under the dial-hole, and between the two columns, is decorated by an eagles' head in bas-relief, surrounded by ornaments and foliage, as shown in fig. 1. The arch A is embellished by a top ornament, T, which consists of a staif surmounted by a star, ornaments, as seen in iig. 1, growing out of said stati'. The sides of the case C and base B are ornamented, as shown in tig. 2, and are at right angles to the front.
What I' claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- The design for a clock-case, as herein shown and described.
