Design No. 3,226, dated November 3, 1868.
DESIGN FOR A SHOVEL-ANDTONGS STAND.
To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES ZEUNER, ofthe city of Cincinnati, inthe county of Hamilton, and State of Ohio, have originated and designed a new Pattern for a Shovel-and-Tongs Stand, of which the following is a full and clear description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making a part of this specification.
The parts comprising the shovel-'and-tongs stand, the dish, upright, arms, and handle, have the following configuration:
The dish A is of the-form of a corrugated shell. Each corrugation has in relief an oak-leaf, a., the stem of which terminates near the foot of the upright. Between the stems of the leaves a, are acorns, a', pendent from the ring-course b. In the re-entering angles of the edge of the dish A is an ornamental triangular scroll, c. A large oval scroll, B, having the open-Work d within it, is the lower section of the upright C, above which are the reversed scrolls e, then a bead, f. The next section of the upright is made of leaf-shaped ornaments, g, which is surmounted by two circular columns alternating with beads, f. The capital consists of drooping leaves, h. The curved arms D surmount the capital, and are ornamented with leaves on the sides; their ends are rosettes, k. The handle E is of circular form, ornamented with leaves.
What I claim as new, of my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for shovel-and-ton gs stand, herein shown and described.
