DESIGN FOR A TACK-HEAD.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, CRIN L. BASSETT, of Taunton, in the county of Bristol, and State of Massachusetts, have invented n new and original Design for a. Tack- Head; and I do hereby dechire that the following is a. fnll, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the nrt to make and use the saine, reference being had to the nccompnnying drawing, forming part ot' this specification, in which tbe tigure is a. perspective view of n tack, illustrating my design.

My invention has for its object to furnish an im proved design for the heads of tucks, shoe-nails, Snc.; :tud

It consists in the design herein shown and described.

K is the body of the tack, which mny be nmde with :t tack-point or with n nail-point, according to the purpose for which it is to be used.

.L is the head ofthe tack, which is made circular in its general form, and the upper suriztee of which is struck up into. the form shown in the figure; that is to say, the central part l1 ot' the upper surface ot' the head L, is mede in the forni of n segment of a sphere, and is surrounded by :t series of six, more or less, segment-s ot' pyramids Zi, having their apexes toward the centre ot' said tack-head, as shown.

Having thus described my invention, i I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters i Patent- The design for n teck-head, herein shown and dei scribed. The above specification of my invention signed by 5 me, this 8th day of November, 1869.
