DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,331, dated September 13, 1898. Application filed August 15, 1898. Serial No. 688,650. T f tent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE A. FLAG-GUS, a citizen of the United States,residin g at \Vheeling, in the county of Ohio and State of Vest Virginia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear,
and exact description of the same, reference" being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing is a perspective View of a bottle embodying my design.
The leading feature of my design consists of a bottle which is shaped to represent a figure of the type usually known as Uncle Sam, the same being represented as standing in an upright position on a pedestal and wearing a hat which forms the mouth of the bottle.
In the accompanying drawing, A represents the figure of a man of the type usuallyknown as Uncle Sam. The figure is represented as standing in an upright position on a pedestal B,Which forms the base of the bottle,with one hand resting upon a gun O, and wearing a hat D, which latter forms the mouth of the bottle, the mouth of the bottle being closed by a capsule, which gives an added finished appearance to the hat. The figure has long back hair D and whiskers E. The figure is represented as having a long-tail coat F,with stars upon the same, and wearing a piccadilly-collar and a string tie. The trousers of the figure are represented as being striped.
