DESIGN FOR AN ADVERTISING-STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,855, dated June 14, 1898.
Application filed October 29, 1897. Serial No. 656,842. Term of patent '7 years.
To (all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM M. UPDE- GRAVE, residing at Johnstown, in the county of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Design for an Advertising-Stand, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a new and useful design for an advertising-stand. The leading feature of my design consists in the shape and ornamentation of the body and also in the shape and ornamentation of the base and standard upon which said body is supported.
The drawing hereto attached illustrates the nature of my design, and referring to said drawing A indicates the flat base, essentially circular in shape. At the center of this base is arranged a raised circular portion B, upon which are produced the representations of human faces C. The standard D extends upwardly from the base and is also ornamented with the representations of human faces E. A
F indicates the body, which is hexagonal in shape, the panels of said body having mirrors G arranged thereon. The divisionstrips II constitute the side frames of the panels and are ornamented by representations of human faces I. Upon the top of the body is arranged a cap-piece K, bearing representations of human faces L, grouped together, as shown.
An advertising-stand constructed in accordance with my invention is both useful and ornamental for the purposes intended.
