SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,556, dated May 10, 1898.
Application filed March 19, 1898. Serial No. 674,542. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, EUSTACE (Jeans and CHARLES S. COURT, citizens of the United Stat-es, residing at Providence, in the State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Handle for Button-Hooks or Similar Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 represents a side view of a handle, showing our new design. Fig. 2 represents a longitudinal section thereof.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of our design consist in the parallel circular beads a b at the forward end of the handle, the foliated scrolls c c at each side of the handle, the reversely-curved foliated scrolls d d, the foliated scrolls e e, the reversely-curved foliated scrolls ff, and the foliated scroll g at the outer end of the handle, the scroll g and the series of beads 9 with the line of graduated beads it upon the panel 11 between the scrolls f f, and the rows of beads j j between the scrolls f f and the scrolls e e, the ornament it between the scrolls d d, with the flower Z at the upper end of a stem m arranged centrally of the panel 7?. and having the leaves 0 0 and 19 13 arranged at 0pposite sides of the stem m, the foliated scroll q, adjoining the bead b, and the series of reversely-curved scroll ornaments 7'.
