THEHON I. SMITHS WITNESSES. INVENTOH timid Stairs THERON 1. SMITH, OF NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS.
Design No. 4,643, dated February 7, 1871.
DESIGN FOR A BRACELET.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, THERON I. SMITH, of North Attleborough, in the county of Bristol and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a. new Design for Bracelets; and I do hereby declare that the following specification, taken in connection with the drawings making a part thereof, is a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
Figure l is a view in perspective.
Figure 2 is a side view.
The design which is the subject of this patent consists in making the central overlaid band A ribbed or of three convex members, a a a, and combining the same with the two convex-edge moldings, l) b, whereby a distinctive client is given to this class of bracelets.
B B represent the two halves of the bracelet, which may be made of hard rubber or of metal, the edges of the same being furnished with convex moldings, b, formed by the operation of rolling or pressing the material forming the hoop of the bracelet.
The central ribbed band A may be rolled into the form shown in the drawings from sheet metal, and is to be overlaid upon the base B.
The bracelet, as a whole, is similar in construction to that shown and described in the Letters Patent granted to Francis M. Sweet, dated August 31,1858, and is distinctive only in the design which results from the combination of the ribbed hand A with the convex-edge moldings b b.
What I claim is- The design fora bracelet herein described and shown in the drawings.
