Description

D10129. OR D 281320 DESIGN J. C. DUEBER.
WATCH MOVEMENT PLATE.
Patented Mar. 1,1898.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN C. DUEBER, OF CANTON, OIIIO.
DESIGN FOR A WATCH-MOVEMENT PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,320, dated March 1, 1898.
Application filed $eptember 1,1897. Serial No. 650,308. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN C. DUEBER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Canton, county of Stark, State of Ohio, have invented a new and original Design for a lVatch-Movement Plate, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification.
The invention relates to a new design for watch-movement plates; and it consists of a design of the configuration and ornamentation shown in the accompanying drawing, in which I have illustrated my invention in top plan View.
The leading feature of my design consists of the top plate A, the barrel-bridge'B, and the balance-cock C, damasked with a series of burnished circles having the appearance of concave grooves or corrugations. The grooves or corrugations of the top plate commence at both sides of the top plate at a point below a line drawn through the center thereof and extending from top to bottom, each succeeding circle being of greater diameter and continuing until the circles meet at a point a short distance below the center of the plate. The upper portion of the top plate between the inner circles is so burnished as to give the appearance of a series of straight concave grooves or corrugations, commencing at the top of the plate and terminating in the circular ornamentation upon the plate. In the center of the upper portion of the top plate there is burnished a double star or rosette. Upon the barrel-bridge B the burnished circles commence at both ends and run across the plate from top to bottom, meeting at a point above the center of the plate, as shown. The grooves or corrugations of the balancecock 0 form a continuation of one set of grooves of the top plate and the barrel-bridge.
What I claim is- The design for a watch-movement plate, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 12th day of August, A. D. 1897.
JOHL C. DUEBER.
