Be it known that I, CLAY B. ATKIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Knoxville, in the county of Knox and State of Tennessee, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Mantel, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, which represents a face view of a mantel, showing my new design.

The back piece or upper portion B of the mantel is characterized by a top panel g, having an upwardly-convex central portion It, provided with a partly floral and partly arabesque ornamentation 2', while a similar ornamentation j is arranged at the rounded corners of the panel.
